Assessment

 

Continuous and comprehensive assessment (CCE)and Grading System from .Ito Xis being implemented from the Academics session 2010-11 for Holistic (All round) development in the scholastic(academic)and co scholastic (Co-curricular activities ) areas of the students.
Performance of a student is assessed on the basis of tests conducted and the day to day performance throughout the year.
Two formative Assessment ( FA-I and FA-2) and one Summative Assessment ( SA-1) are conducted the month of June, August and September respectively and two formative Assessment (FA-3and FA-4) and one summative Assessment (SA-2) are Conducted in the month of Nov., Jan .March respectively . Formative Assessments cover the wide range of various Tests/skills/Activities of the student viz —unit tests assignment ,projects,lab activites,Debates, Quiz,Declamation, Seminars, Class Work, Rule play etc.Throughout the year. Anecdotal records of students activites,behaviour, Regularity,class response etc.is kept. Numerical marks will be converted into Grades.
Parents are kept regularly in the information ,informed of their wards academic&other progress through Achievment Record/TestCopies/Assignment etc.
Promotion is based on the overall average performance of the year.
A student must obtain at least `D’ Grade in each compulsory subject to quality for the next class.
